Privacy Policy

Textify is a browser extension that rewrites the text you type inside AI chat sites into a clearer, structured prompt. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we don't do. In short: we keep it minimal, and we don't sell your data.

What we collect

• Prompt text you choose to upgrade. When you press the Textify button, the text in the chat box is sent to our server and on to the AI provider that generates the improved prompt. We do not store your prompt text on our servers after the request is completed.
• A random device ID. Generated in your browser to count your daily usage and enforce plan limits. It is not tied to your identity.
• Your email — only if you sign in. Sign-in is optional and uses a one-time code. We use your email solely to keep your plan in sync across devices and to send account-related messages.
• Basic usage counters. How many upgrades you've used in the current window, so we can apply Free/Pro limits.
• Payment info (Pro only). Handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

What stays on your device

Your recent prompt history and your settings (tone, format, profiles, templates) live in your browser's local storage. We can't see them.

How your prompt text is used

Prompt text is transmitted to an AI provider (for example, Anthropic or Groq) only to generate your improved prompt, and is subject to that provider's data policies for that request. We do not use your prompts to train models, and we do not retain them.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your data.
• We don't run third-party advertising or tracking pixels in the extension.
• We don't read your chats beyond the text you explicitly ask us to upgrade.

Data retention & deletion

Your account record (device ID, optional email, plan, usage counters) is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account and its data at any time from the extension's Account panel, or by emailing us.
